[ Edward can't help but find himself wish to speak with Fai, curious on learning more about the other blond-haired man. After all, a profile can only tell so much, and there are more than a fair share of eavesdroppers who can hardly be glimpsed easily from within the gift shop.
Indeed, he offers a more private place to continue their talk or begin to speak of other things anew. He is grateful when the other accepted, and once they have arrived in admittedly the...slightly sparse courtyard, with no one else around, he makes a gesture towards one of the park benches spotted nearby one of the nicely-decorated bushes.
He takes a seat himself. ]
I hope my request was not too sudden. But...well, as we spoke, I find myself wishing for an opportunity to learn more about who I meet here.
This place in of itself is a learning experience, and yet even becoming accustomed to new technology seems to pale in comparison to meeting people. Such is the way of life, I suppose?
We certainly do. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet them all just yet, though I hope as time goes on, that will change.
[ He says it rather seriously, though he can't quite call himself a people person. So it will perhaps be a bit of a slow process. ]
Partings and meetings...they are both just as important even if they can be just as fleeting. I believe we will remember each one of those we give here for years to come. Or perhaps, as long as time wills it.
[ Many people might argue that ones forged over a long amount of time are bound to be more important—but it is a fact of life that intense connections can indeed be made in such a short period.
When Fai turns his gaze from the sky back onto him, he returns the smile; a touch bashful. ]
Really? 'Tis fortunate then, that you would think of what I have said so kindly. Though, I might wonder what other thoughts you may have on the matter...
[ Ah, that bashfulness is cute. It only makes his smile widen for a moment, before he seriously considers an answer. It’s not fair to play around when he’s been invited out like this. ]
Hmm… I think connections with others stay in your heart, even if you part ways. I travel across different worlds, meaning that I likely won’t see someone again after getting to know them. Even still…
[ He briefly thinks of his companions, the people he isn’t meant to forge connections with. ]
I see...what a poetic way to express such a lovely sentiment. Though I cannot yet claim to know truly what it is like to consistently traverse across a myriad set of differing worlds, but I can only imagine how fantastical that would be all on its own.
[ Though admittedly, it has been quite awhile since he has seen them, he supposes. ]
Still, no matter what has come of it, I suppose I can't say I have regrets...though, in the beginning I don't think I could've imagined embarking on any with people.
[ Edward is perhaps too much of a night owl but he is glad that the other man doesn't appear to be sleepy. He would be annoyed with himself had he managed to interrupt his sleep. ]
Thank you. I, ah...believe this is the first time I've been in your room. I also seem to have not realized how late it was. Admittedly, I may be a bit too used to lingering a bit past a respectable time in the night. Even with the fact time can easily be told here with this odd technology, I find I don't have much of a good reason for it.
[ He looks around, despite the fact that all rooms are mostly the same, and then a sheepish expression comes along his face when he realizes what he's doing. He quickly next looks for a chair. ]
[ Fai has a few knick knacks from the gift shop strewn about, along with some snacks. There's a shirt or two hanging over one of the chairs as well. Anything scandalous is hidden safely away. ]
No worries. I'm a bit of a night owl myself, so I don't mind.
I shall and already I might feel like I am. A 'home away from home', perhaps.
[ Edward goes to settle himself down on one of the chairs after the lighthearted quip; without the shirt because he doesn't want to wrinkle it. ]
...I was admittedly curious about a couple things, now that I am here. First, of course, to hope that you have been well. Second...'Tis true you like sweets, correct? On this strange object it has a bit of information stored on us, after all.
[ And he finally managed to use it after wondering for awhile why nothing happened simply because he spoke at it. ]
Pastries, hm? I have to say that is good to know. The candy as well...though, I hadn't partaken in that myself.
[ He appears pleased with himself for asking about such a clarification regardless. Learning more about what people might like is perhaps a good thing...for maybe obvious reasons, hah. ]
[ One might think that Edward is an early riser due to his occupation. But truth be told, despite the fact he himself had managed to come along for breakfast a week or so ago to deliver to Fai, when he has no reason to be awake in he morn...he is, quite frankly not.
There is a sudden sound like a thump, then the unmistakable noise of feet hurriedly hitting the floor. The sound other things being moved around. ]
[ The door flings open, revealing somehow a composed-looking (ish) blond. When he so happens to spot what Fai's carrying, surprise becomes writ on his face.
...Which then softens into something appreciative. ]
Is that...? You needn't have - ah, and good morning, of course.
[ Well, at the very least, his morning is off to a nice start! He will also step aside to allow Fai entry into his room.
Everything is immaculate, despite his rushing around; if the other looks around he may find a stack of paper on the desk with some written compositions upon it, but nothing else is out (besides the harp tucked away in the corner.) ]
That's alright. I am more than happy to accept your kindness...even if it is because you are returning a favor, it is a thoughtful act nonetheless that deserves appreciation, so thank you.
[ He will soon head over to the bed and seat himself. ]
Besides, while you are here, I imagine that it can't hurt to discuss some things over breakfast.
Thank you. I certainly do try my best...I would not quite call myself a neat freak, but I am far too used to living in spaces that are well tidied up, that it is second nature.
[ It is, perhaps, not something that can be said the same of regarding other royals or noble people, but that's fine. Edward is not here to judge people's cleanliness and whatnot.
He peers at the food... ]
Anyway, of things to discuss...it can't hurt to talk about motives for why we had decided to come along, right? Not quite the usual breakfast talk topic, but it shall wake me up quite well.
[ Besides the fact eating food will do well enough on that part as well. ]
I’d like that. I was actually wondering if you’d be willing to share some of that with me.
[ They’re honest conversations, and Fai thinks he’s ready enough to have those with Edward.
He sits down at the table, waiting for Edward to try some of the food. It’s a typical breakfast spread with eggs, bacon, and French toast, so hopefully he made it well. ]
I wouldn't mind it. I think it will be best if I start us off, then. It is only fair, after all.
[ Edward looks delighted at the spread, taking some of the food and swallowing some down before he begins to talk. No use beginning on an empty stomach, after all! ]
I suppose it might come to you with little surprise that I haven't managed to come up with a wish myself, nor had I any intention of being victorious in the game. Er, this still hasn't changed...as my own real motive is simply making treasured memories which those I had met and perhaps finding my one and only.
[ A sheepish look comes across his face, but it is all the same a bit happy as well. ]

I hope you're enjoying meeting all these new people. We have an interesting bunch.

You say it so nicely, though. I almost start thinking of meetings and partings in a new light because of you.

He decides that it would be best to do this simply and that will be via knocking on the other male's door. ]
Fai, are you within? I was wondering if perhaps we may speak with another this night.

Ah, Edward! Come on in.

week 3, sometime early
Should he open it, he'll be greeted by Fai holding a tray with a breakfast spread adorning it. ]
Good morning~ Are you free?
